Wedding Guest Outfit Inspiration For 2023

Wedding Guest Outfit Inspo!

Wedding season is now upon us and I’ve already styled a fair few clients for events they will be attending this spring summer.

Here are a few things to consider when thinking about selecting a wedding guest outfit. First of all location, location. Will you be attending a city wedding, or a countryside affair - super important to consider footwear here - or perhaps a location abroad? Will your chosen outfit be comfortable to wear all day, or should you consider packing a second dress for later in the evening? If packing 2 dresses make sure they both work with one set of shoes and accessories. Finally can you eat and dance in your chosen outfit?

Scroll down for some inspiration to get you started on your journey to being the best dressed guest!

Pretty Versatile

This very pretty Maje dress can be styled for city, rural and beach weddings by changing up footwear. The platform sandals shown work well for marquees and country weddings as you can glide over the grass in style. Court shoes in a nude tone add a sophisticated edge in the city.

Dress down for summer days with flat sandals or trainers.

Co-ordinating

A zingy Rixo co-ord that works for home and abroad and can be worn as separates. The top with cream jeans and the skirt with a tee or cami for a more casual look.

Slinky styling

Pair a tailored jacket with this slinky bias cut Aligne dress for the ceremony when you need a bit more coverage. Leave the jacket on your chair for the evening celebrations.

Jumpsuited

Instead of a dress, why not try a jumpsuit? This very chic jumpsuit from Reiss would work well for both weddings and Royal Ascot. Though the jacket would have to stay on if you have a ticket for the Queen Anne or Royal enclosures.

Matchy Matchy

Make any outfit look effortlessly polished by matching your tones from outfit to accessories to shoes.
