Up Your Style Game This Christmas

Be The Always Stylish Man

If you often opt for a low-key vibe, but feel you would like a step change, why not look at upping your style game this December? For many it’s a time of celebration and socialising making it the perfect opportunity to elevate your wardrobe. You don’t need to reinvent yourself, instead drip feed new pieces into your look. Such as donning a velvet blazer for a black-tie event, looking at accessories to enhance an outfit, or adding a jumper in a brighter colour than you usually would. Use Christmas events or parties as a safety blanket to experiment with new styles and colours.

Velvet Blazers

If you have any black-tie events to go to this Christmas, inject a colour into your suit with a velvet blazer. Suave sartorial style at its best and sure to get you noticed – if you opt for a jewel tone.

The velvet blazer can also be worn to other events throughout the winter, or more casually with a crew or roll neck underneath.

Pocket Squares

The pocket square is in my opinion a very underrated men’s accessory. One that doesn’t have to be worn with a full suit in a very formal wear. Add to liven up smart separates.

Non Navy Suits

There is life outside the navy or grey suit with a whole array of colours, textures, and tones on the market. Choosing an olive, green, burgundy, brown or textured tweed suit will have you standing out from the navy masses. Great for work Christmas parties and networking events.

Coloured Sweaters

Similarly, to the suit now is the chance to explore coloured sweaters and give the ubiquitous navy knit a holiday for December. If wearing a sparkly cartoon Christmas jumper is a real no no for you, opt for a vivid colour knit instead.

Check jacket, yellow, orange sweaters, blue jeans and trainers.

Long Sleeve Polo

I’ve added the long sleeve polo, as so many of my styling clients have never tried one on before I suggest it. As smart as a shirt, can be dressed up or down and makes a perfect Christmas date outfit, especially if an element is outside.
